Burnley Business Week is back for 2023 with a packed schedule of informative and interesting events.

From Monday 25th to Friday 29th September businesses from across the borough will come together to discuss hot topics, share best practice and make new connections.

Burnley Business Week is organised by Burnley Council, with the University of Lancashire (UCLan) once again as its partner and offers a week of free business workshops, seminars and drop-in sessions with business experts.

Lukman Patel, the council’s chief executive, said: “This year’s Business Week is the busiest yet and we are extremely lucky to have such a supportive business community in our borough.

“It’s been another challenging year for businesses, with inflation and the cost-of-living crisis impacting people’s spending habits. Energy price rises have also had a significant impact on businesses. As always, our businesses have shown great resilience and we hope this year’s programme will help provide further support, advice, and ideas for the future.

“This is the 11th Business Week the council has organised and there will be something to help all types and all sizes of business, as well as expert advice for people thinking of starting their own business.”

Dharma Kovvuri, of UCLan, said: “At the University of Central Lancashire, we thrive on collaboration, recognising our pivotal role in fostering growth.

“With an unwavering commitment to supporting Burnley businesses, the university serves as a catalyst for development, enabling the creation of novel processes, products, and innovations. Moreover, we actively seek out funding opportunities, channeling resources towards enhancing skills and empowering individuals, thus fueling a dynamic ecosystem of progress and prosperity.”
