The Business Travel Association is joining the Tourism Alliance for 2024 to “amplify the voice” of the corporate travel sector in the UK.
The BTA will join more than 70 travel organisations who are already members of the Tourism Alliance, which aims to foster “strong links” between the sector and the UK government and Parliament.
Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “We’re honoured to be joining forces with the Tourism Alliance as part of our mission to amplify our voice and redefine industry standards.
“Uniting with the Tourism Alliance is more than a collaboration; it is a dynamic platform to broadcast our message louder and further.”
Richard Toomer, executive director of the Tourism Alliance, added that the business travel sector was “crucial to the economy”.
“We are pleased to bolster our representation of this part of the travel and tourism sector through this addition to our membership,” said Toomer.
“We look forward to working closely with BTA in ensuring its voice is heard in all our internal policy deliberations and our outward facing engagement with decision-makers at all levels.”
