We are currently seeking a Planning Manager who will report to the Vice President of Merchandising, as part of our dynamic team in New York.

How you will contribute:

  • Drive business success in line with financial objectives through optimal merchandising management. Forecast sales for various channels (merchandising, wholesale and outlets) and ensure the regional demand is covered with the appropriate inventory levels. Support the wholesale and merchandising teams in taking business effective decisions
  • Support and lead with business review presentations
  • Manage the planning, replenishment, and mapping for the Permanent business
  • Contribute to the definition of the merchandising and wholesale strategies (in the different markets) with the VP of Merchandising and VP of Wholesale, in line with the brand targets (both long and short term)
  • Create a strong partnership with stakeholders (Merchandising, Wholesale, Finance, Distribution teams, and partners in headquarters), with peers and higher level
  • Partner with account management team to build pre-season/in-season budgets and communicate to accounts, ensuring receipts are in line with brand recommendations
  • Drive/influence decisions being a respected leader
  • Drive replenishment reporting through monthly forecasts to better challenge accounts on model stock Definition and validation of the Open to Buys in accordance with Company Guidelines (and by account)
  • Supports and Coordinates with the Regional Merchandising Planners as well as the Account Management Team from a Business and System standpoint and validates all the Regional Plans
  • Follow up OTB application throughout the season with insights and analysis
  • Develop, maintain, and update tools & reports to analyze wholesale sales by product and location via Skypad and analyze to support business needs.
  • Make consolidation/reallocation to optimize Inventory efficiency (in collaboration with distribution team)
  • Track consolidations compliance
  • Monitoring international transfers until completion
  • Responsible for collecting information and providing analysis (also guiding and challenging business strategies and decisions) throughout the product life cycle (collection plan, OTB, Buying and Assortment, in-season management, Markdown, outlet)
  • Build out reporting tools to recap and communicate location selling performance
  • Create selling reports and provide historical recaps to analyze and communicate business performance.
  • Analyze and reflect current trends in performance of strategy based on actual sales performance; revise in-season plans for sales and profitability based on current performance.
  • Monitor product performance (sales, margin, sell through)
  • Develop knowledge of store-attribute performance through data analysis to challenge assortments by tier
  • Monitor invoicing and returns to ensure wholesale department meets financial objectives

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years’ work experience, preferably in (at least) one of the following sectors:  merchandising planning or buying, financial control or planning, business development or analyst, retail (any position). Experience in store is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • Experience in using analytical tools/system, retail or OTB planning is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and numerical sense with excellent excel application skills and attention to details
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good time management skills, able to delegate and work under pressure
  • Sensitivity to the luxury industry
  • Positive, embracing changes with problem solving attitude
  • Strong leadership skills with good team spirit

Salary Range- New York:

  • Annual base salary range of $110,000 to $120,000 USD.
