SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Almond producer Blue Diamond Growers is launching a new plant-based milk product for health-conscious consumers.

The beverage is formulated from an oat and almond base, and each 1-cup serving contains 45 calories, 450 mgs of calcium and 4 grams of sugar. Blue Diamond’s Almond Breeze Original Almond & Oat Blend joins the company’s dairy alternative portfolio that includes a variety of almond-based creamers, shelf-stable milks, and blended milk offerings.

“We know that eating healthier is on the forefront of a lot of consumers’ minds, and are excited to offer this product that is both delicious and nutritious,” said Maya Erwin, vice president of innovation and R&D at Blue Diamond. “Almond Breeze Original Almond & Oat Blend not only provides a great taste and creamy texture, but it is also a healthier alternative to other oat milks.”

The milk alternative is rolling out in 52-oz containers in national retailers beginning January 2024.
