Blackpink’s Contract Renewal Sends Shares of K-Pop Label YG Soaring

YG Entertainment shares surged after the label behind K-pop girl group Blackpink renewed exclusive contracts with all four members of the multinational band.

Shares of the South Korean talent company rose as much as 29% to 61,900 won ($47.12) in early afternoon trading, on track for their biggest daily percentage gain since listing in November 2011, according to FactSet.
