Chauffeur-drive service Blacklane has announced a major global expansion of its city-to-city services with the addition of 98 connections across 11 countries.
The Germany-based ground transport provider is now offering 127 long-distance connections, including new routes in France, Ireland, Italy and the UK, which Blacklane sees as an alternative to short-haul domestic flights.
The additions include journeys from key cities such as London and Manchester in the UK, Rome and Florence in Italy, Dublin in Ireland, as well as the French capital Paris.
Blacklane’s city-to-city chauffeured services offer a fixed fare, including taxes, tolls and tips.
Jens Wohltorf, co-founder and CEO of Blacklane, said: “We are strategically investing in important and popular long-distance routes across several markets to diversify our business model and expand into new sectors.
“This is also beneficial from an urban mobility perspective as our rides are a real alternative to short-haul flights.”
Blacklane has also introduced new city-to-city connections in the US, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.
