Transportation options could be interesting even just beyond our borders. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is looking to understand what people want from a new train service out of the Twin Cities. MnDOT noted a new passenger train connecting the Twin Cities to Chicago will begin rolling in 2024.

“This service will provide a second train on the current Empire Builder route, but will allow for daily, round-trip service from St. Paul, Milwaukee and Chicago, with multiple stops at connecting cities. Would you be interested in riding this new train service? What amenities would be appealing to you? We want to hear from you! We invite you to take our survey to help us better understand what Minnesotans want from a train service like this.”
