This is the 29th year of the TSB Business Excellence Awards, run by the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce.

Broadcaster and journalist Samantha Hayes from Three will MC the awards gala evening on Saturday, November 11, with entertainment from Shaun Preston.

Chamber of commerce launches app

The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce has launched an app for members to take advantage of deals and savings provided by its partners.

The Business Chamber Partners App is available for Android and Apple devices, and any chamber member who downloads it before November 17 will go in the draw to win a $5000 prize package.

Good Home staff celebrate 10 years

Despite major Covid-related staffing shortages in the hospitality industry, The Good Home in New Plymouth has been able to celebrate six of its staff members reaching the 10-year service milestone.

Icons Sports Bar manager Aidan Morrell, duty manager Neil Ross, duty manager John Still, Good Home security manager Valai Taumoepau, restaurant manager Harshada Amin and head chef Zac Jackson have all clocked up a decade with the business.

Owners David and Sheryl Stones said they were proud of the team.

“To commit and support our business for over 10 years is a great achievement. We are very privileged to have these leaders of the industry.”
