Biotechnology company, Biologix Support Services Limited, has been accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by Nigeria National Accreditation System (NiNAS) for its calibration laboratory.
The certification is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories that demonstrate competence, impartiality and consistency to deliver reliable results.
The Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Voke Toye, who made the announcement yesterday in Lagos, said the feat underscored the company’s commitment to quality and competence in calibration services.
She hinted that as part of efforts to continuously improve services, the organisation had unveiled new logos for the laboratories and support services, as well as a new range of offerings.
Her words: “Our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, new logos and services mark a significant milestone in our journey towards becoming a leading biotechnology company in Nigeria and Africa.
“We remain committed to providing our clients with the highest quality services and solutions that are easily accessible locally, more affordable and with shorter turnaround times. We are confident that our new offerings in the diagnostic laboratory space will further enhance our ability to meet their needs.”
Also speaking, the Chairman, Adeola Toye, observed that the launch of new services caters to the needs of the clients and the broader biotechnology space in Nigeria.
According to him, the services, which include a broad range of molecular diagnostic test, DNA sequencing and other pathology services, are designed to meet the demands of the fast-evolving biotechnology landscape and provide clients with the latest cutting-edge solutions.
“Biologix Laboratories and Support Services has been at the forefront of the emerging biotechnology space in Nigeria for over a decade. The company continues providing molecular diagnostic services, research and development, as well as training in basic and advanced molecular biology techniques,” he added.
