Biden Administration’s small business leader tours LA

Small Business Administration Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman made a whirlwind series of appearances on Friday, Aug. 4, highlighting opportunities available to small businesses from the federal government.

Traveling around the city with Rep. Jimmy Gomez, D-Los Angeles, Guzman met with local entrepreneurs, declaring a “historic small business boom, with 12.2 million new small business applications nationwide since the President (Joe Biden) took office, including 1.2 million in California alone,” according to a media statement.

Starting the day was roundtable discussion in downtown L.A. about “uplifiting Latino entrepreneurs,” followed by visits to several businesses.

Stops on the tour included a restaurant in Koreatown, a martial arts academy in the Mid-Wilshire area and a clothing store and bike shop in Eagle Rock.
