(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 16 – The Berlusconi family TV and media
group Mfe-Mediaset is the envy of all, Business and Made in
Italy Minister Adolfo Urso said Friday.

“Silvio Berlusconi has just passed, and I think we need respect
for him and for everything exceptional that he created in these
years, and also obviously a TV hub that is the envy of all,”
Urso said on the sidelines of the presentation of a new Edison
power station at Marghera near Venice.

Berlusconi, who died of leukaemia Monday aged 86, set up the
three-channel Mediaset in the early 1980s as Italy’s first and
still by far biggest commercial TV groups.

Berlusconi’s five children have committed to supporting Mediaset
as well as the late media mogul’s political party, the centre
right Forza Italy (Come on Italy) group.

His two eldest children, Marina and Pier Silvio, are top
executives in his business empire. (ANSA).
