For 12 months from Declan’s last day in Crown service, Declan should not become personally involved in lobbying the UK government on behalf of SSE (including parent companies, subsidiaries, partners and clients); nor should he make use, directly or indirectly, of his contacts in the government and/or Crown service to influence policy, secure business/funding or otherwise unfairly advantage SSE (including parent companies, subsidiaries, partners and clients).
For 12 months from his last day in Crown service he should not undertake any work with SSE (including parent companies, subsidiaries, partners and clients) that involves providing advice on the terms of, or with regard to the subject matter of a bid with, or contract relating directly to the work of, the UK government or its arms length bodies.
For 12 months from his last day in Crown service he should not have any engagement with the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) (including parent companies, subsidiaries, partners and clients).
Declan should continue to review the business appointment rules guidance before accepting any new appointment or employment for 2 years after leaving the Civil Service to ensure that there is no cause for justified public concern, criticism or misinterpretation.
