Bank of America has shaken up the senior leadership team of its operations in Switzerland and Germany after the retirement of Manuel Ebner, who is stepping down after 13 years.

The Wall Street bank has promoted Thorsten Pauli to country executive for Switzerland, a role he takes on on top of his current position as head of equity capital markets for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, according to a memo seen by Financial News and confirmed by a spokesperson.

“Manuel joined the firm in November 2010 and has played a central role in enhancing our Swiss franchise by developing valuable relationships with our regulators, Swiss public entities and some of our key clients,” the memo said of Ebner’s retirement.

Meanwhile, Markus Meier, a 16-year Bank of America veteran, has been promoted to lead ECM in Germany, the memo added.

Kristijan Krstic, who leads its corporate banking business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, has been named branch manager for BofA Europe DAC, its post Brexit European entity, in Frankfurt.

Brooke Wachtel has been promoted to branch manager for the Swiss arm of the same entity, in addition to her role as head of corporate banking in the country.

The latest changes within Bank of America’s European investment bank come after it promoted James Robertson to co-head its technology, media, and telecom investment banking team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa earlier in March alongside Thomas Koehrer.

Peter Luck took sole charge of its UK investment banking team as a result.
