Remus, Michigan-based equipment maker Bandit Industries Inc. celebrated its 40th anniversary with a company event in late September at its campus in its headquarters city.

The event included a welcome reception, plant tours, equipment demonstrations and a closing dinner, according to Bandit. The company makes size reduction and other equipment for the recycling, landscaping and land clearing sectors.

The event attracted staff members and guests from beyond Michigan, with visitors from throughout the United States as well as 15 different countries attending, including from Argentina, Australia, Brazil Canada, Chile, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Guatemala, Indonesia, New Zealand, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Bandit says it was the first time Bandit has hosted an event at its headquarters since 2018. “Since then, Bandit has added new models, conducted numerous building expansions, added multiple new dealers and increased employees by over 70 percent,” says the firm.

“We were excited to show all attendees the numerous changes that have occurred at Bandit since our last event,” says Jason Morey, corporate marketing manager of the employee-owned firm.

At the company’s demonstration site, or proving ground, several models were demonstrated, including a new horizontal grinder (that is not yet on the market), a tracked Beast grinder, a mulch coloring unit, multiple brush chippers and whole-tree chippers.

Also put to the test were Arjes 250 and 900 slow-speed shredder and crusher models distributed by Bandit, which the company says processed “concrete slabs with ease.”

“We received a lot of great comments about the tours and equipment demos,” says Morey added. “Each time we have people visit Bandit, they are often impressed with our employees and how open and passionate they are about their part of the production process. I was asked how we do it, and my response was simple: ‘It is the culture we have created.’ Bandit has multiple employees with 20-plus years, and as new employees come aboard, the drive to produce the highest quality and most productive tree care and recycling equipment is all passed down.”

In addition to this corporate event, additional events are being held around the country and co-hosted with select dealers during 2023, according to Bandit.

Two events will be held in October, and once those are completed there will have been a total of 24 events in 2023 in celebration of Bandit’s 40th anniversary, says the firm.

“These events have given Bandit staff the opportunity to meet and say ‘thank you’ to those customers [who] have purchased Bandit equipment,” concludes the equipment maker.
