The absolute best deal you can score is by booking through Alaska’s MileagePlan loyalty program, as you can redeem just 57,500 miles and $19 in taxes and fees for a one-way ticket. The flight is operated by American, on the airline’s nonstop route from Chicago to Venice this summer.

That said, Alaska miles can be difficult to earn as there are no major transferable partners at this time.
Finally, there are also many return dates available throughout August 2024.
Book With Transferable Points and Miles
Fortunately, you can book these same award flights through Qantas Frequent Flyer, which is a transfer partner of several programs, including Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Citi ThankYou Points.
The rates are a bit higher (68,400 miles and $233 in taxes and fees), but for a lie-flat seat to Europe in the peak summer travel season, we certainly can’t complain.
If you have American Airlines AAdvantage miles, you can also use 80,500 miles and pay $5.60 in taxes and fees for these same tickets. You can transfer your Bilt Rewards points (1:1) or Marriott Bonvoy points (3:1) to AAdvantage.

If you want to save your miles and book an economy ticket instead, you can fly this same route for as few as 25,000 miles one-way. This deal is easily one of the cheapest ways to get to Europe this summer.
