Cognizant’s Communications, Media & Technology business units is looking for an extraordinarily versatile field marketer to join our team. This role will closely align with our Strategic Business units comprised of client partners, account executives, and customer relationship managers to achieve growth goals, have a measured impact on new sales activity, and establish relationships among our target and prospect buyer audience.
The Field Marketing role is a leader/doer, providing strategic guidance to the business units while rolling up their sleeves and producing client-facing content, sales tools and resources that drive engagement throughout the buyer’s journey. This includes working collaboratively across sales, the broader marketing organization, alliance partners, and key stakeholders to develop programs that align with business development goals. The person in this role will implement a mix of marketing, content, sales tools, and events/experiential strategies that improve the buying experience and accelerate conversion.
Responsibilities: Sales and Marketing Liaison: Build a close working relationship with the Strategic Business Unit teams, Industry Solutions, and Consulting teams to support a joint go-to-market approach, enabling sales with conversation content/CTAs and generating demand. Coordinate with business stakeholders on marketing strategy and programs.
Content and Tools: Work with Strategic Business teams to resolve necessary content and materials needed for them to win deals (examples include videos, decks, solution overviews, leave-behinds, sales playbooks, case studies, etc.).
Align with Global Marketing colleagues to identify existing and new thought leadership and other content for vertical marketing programs.
Work with Client Partner teams to identify clients who could be potential be reference accounts for Cognizant and/or case studies.
Work with vertical content lead and vertical industry solutions group to convey the value of a vertical solution communicated in a consistent, concise, and compelling way.
Lead the sales enablement content repository and ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at the point of need. Outcomes/Measurements
Improve engagement by measuring and analyzing:
Continually measure and optimize ROI of marketing content and events by analyzing data from martech stack and salesforce tools.
Content adoption and usage metrics to optimize future efforts based on what is used and what is not used. Required Skills
Strong communicator and storyteller – written, editing, verbal, and visual
Domain and marketing expertise with the ability to personally drive outcome-oriented marketing programs in close partnership with Strategic Business Units
Possess strong program and project management skills to multi-task in a highly matrixed organization to carry initiatives through from concept to outcomes
Effective leader with good people leadership skills (ability to lead up to achieve desired outcomes)
Strong executive presence and confidence to influence direction, be able to present and deliver to a broad audience
Self-starter, positive, engaging, proactive, and able to relate well to a diverse audience.
Bring a collegial, collaborative demeanor and approach to working closely with leaders across the business units and functions
Understand how to demonstrate technology in marketing processes Qualifications
BA/BS in business, marketing, communications or related; MBA preferred
10+ years of marketing experience
7+ years of recent demand generation and sales enablement experience in professional services and/or B2B technology
Industry experience in Communications, Media, and/or Technology industries
Confirmed experience in marketing campaign design and execution, including lead generation, digital marketing, measurement, and content development
Salary and Other Compensation :
The annual salary for this position is between $125,000-$160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
