In a news release, Lee, a second-generation CEO of the company, said she is “delighted that I finally get to bring the T&T experience back to my old school stomping grounds.”
The location is under renovation. The store is not expected to open until summer 2024.

Food Island, an Asian grocery store that operated at the site for many years, closed in February.
T&T’s new store will be larger than the previous tenant’s footprint and will create 120 jobs, the company said in a news release.
The company promises “an immersive experience of food culture” with produce, Asian groceries, bakery along with a prepared food section that includes hot meals, sushi, Hong Kong barbecue pork and a Tianjin crepe station.
T&T Supermarkets was founded in 1993 and headquartered in Richmond, B.C., with stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
