Investment firm Arcane Capital Partners of Little Rock announced it has acquired PolyTech Plastic Molding Inc. of Prairie Grove, a plastics-injection molding and extrusion company.

The privately-held firm did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.

Arcane said the deal will help it expand client services in multiple industries, including HVAC, telecom, water treatment and filtration, and consumer products. The firm also expects the deal to help it attract clients in new industries, such as food and beverage.

Arcane is the parent company of plastics injection-molding companies Johnson Manufacturing Co. of Harrison and Bentonville Plastics Inc. The acquisition of PolyTech and its 65,000-SF facility will increase production capabilities and capacity, advancing its goal of building “the most efficiently operated plastics manufacturing company in the nation,” Arcane said in a news release.

Bentonville Plastics will be integrated into the operations of Johnson Manufacturing. PolyTech and Johnson will continue to operate under their respective brands and will remain at their current facilities.

“As we navigate the changing trends within the industry — including being a leader in reshoring of American manufacturing, we recognize the expertise PolyTech brings to the table and we look forward to combining our strengths as one company,” Micheal Hickmon, CEO and managing partner of Arcane, said in the release.

Poly-tech was founded in 1984 and acquired by Jim Benton a in 2013. Since then, the company has built a new distribution center, expanded production capabilities and upgraded equipment. The company has more than 80 clients across the U.S.
