Aon, a leading broker, consulting and service provider, has announced the appointment of Manuel Pachlatko as Head of Cyber for Switzerland, to further strengthen the company’s cyber solutions in the country.
In his new role, he will focus on the delivery of Aon’s holistic cyber solutions strategy and will continue to develop industry-leading capabilities in this field in the Swiss market.
Pachlatko has over a decade of experience as a broker and underwriter focusing on special lines, he has a deep knowledge of cyber risks and the development of bespoke solutions.
He joins Aon from Kessler where he was the practice leader for cyber and crime risks and led the team. He has also worked in the underwriting field for AIG and has experience in the reinsurance business as well as on the banking side.
Commenting on his appointment, Pachlatko said: “I am very excited to join Aon now. Cyber is in my DNA and I am looking forward to working closely with the team to support clients in their endeavours to constantly improve resilience. Aon is uniquely positioned to provide highly relevant end-to-end services as cyberattacks continue to grow, presenting one of the primary risks for companies.”
According to the announcement, Pachlatko’s hire is part of the company’s strategy to substantially invest and build its specialty businesses, of which cyber is a key element.
In line with this, Aon Switzerland also just merged its cyber broking and cyber risk consulting units. By doing so, Aon has created an unified centre of competence for cyber in Switzerland and underpins the commitment to this space.
Manuel Pachlatko will be part of the wider Specialty team and report to Raphael Schmid, Chief Specialty Officer, and member of Aon Switzerland’s Executive Committee.
