Luxury giant LVMH announced that Antoine Arnault is set to leave his post as CEO of Berluti, effective 1st January 2024. He will be succeeded by Jean-Marc Mansvelt, currently CEO of Chaumet.
“I am very happy and quite emotional to welcome Jean-Marc as the new CEO of the exceptional Maison Berluti, building on values of elegance, audacity and unique savoir-fair”, stated Arnault.
He added, “Jean-Marc’s wealth of experience that he has demonstrated throughout these years will be decisive assets in driving the ongoing development of Berluti.”
LVMH also announced Charles Leung, chief executive of jewellery brand Fred, will take over at Chaumet. At the same time, an internal replacement will be sought for Leung’s role, according to the luxury conglomerate, according to a release.
Antoine Arnault, the eldest son of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, took over Berluti’s leadership in 2011, overseeing the release of its first-ever ready-to-wear collection.
Berluti recently secured a deal to design uniforms for French teams for the upcoming summer Olympics and Paralympics, with Arnault leading the negotiations for LVMH’s 150 million euros Olympics sponsorship deal.
Furthermore, Arnault will continue as president of luxury brand Loro Piana, CEO and vice-chairman of Christian Dior SE’s board of directors and head of communication and image at LVMH.
