(ANSA) – ROME, APR 3 – Italy’s antitrust authority said
Monday that it has fined telecommunications operators Vodafone
S.p.A, Wind Tre S.p.A., Telecom S.p.A. and Fastweb S.p.A in
relation to their treatment of outgoing clients.
The authority said the penalties regarded clients being invoiced
for mobile and fixed-lined services after they had closed their
contracts and, in the case in which they switched to another
operator, being billed twice.
It said these practices dated back to 2020, if not longer.
It fined Vodafone 400,000 euros, Wind Tre 300,000 euros, Telecom
200,000 euros and Fastweb 100,000 euros. (ANSA).
