Allyson Park, Chief Communications Officer

Allyson is the chief communications officer for Walmart. In this role she has responsibility for leading and developing a world-class communications function that advances the company’s reputation and meaningfully contributes to Walmart’s business strategy. Her portfolio includes media relations, external, employee, executive, financial and legal communications, social media content and events.

Previously Allyson was the chief corporate affairs officer for Yum! Brands, Inc., with global responsibility across 156 countries for reputation, stakeholder engagement, environmental social governance strategy (ESG) known as Yum!’s Recipe for Good, and functional responsibility for government relations, sustainability, communications, social media, philanthropy, social impact, creative services, meetings and events. She also served as chairman and CEO of the Yum! Brands Foundation.

Before joining Yum! Brands, Allyson was global vice president, Corporate Affairs, for Mars Wrigley. In that role, she oversaw the company’s purpose initiatives, communications, ESG, public policy and government affairs, the Mars Wrigley Foundation and call centers across 170 countries for brands, including M&Ms®, Snickers®, Skittles®, Dove®, Orbit® and KIND®. Other roles at Mars included global vice president of Strategic Initiatives for Mars Wrigley, global vice president of Sustainability, Corporate Affairs and Health & Wellbeing for Mars Chocolate and vice president Corporate Affairs for Mars Petcare North America. Prior to her time at Mars, Allyson served in five roles at The Coca-Cola Company, including as global vice president of External Affairs. She began her career with nearly a decade in consulting in New York and Atlanta.

Allyson is as an adjunct faculty professor at The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications in the Public Relations department, a board director with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and a graduate of Leadership Greater Chicago.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Florida, and was named to its “Alumni of Distinction” list in 2014. She and her husband, Sean, have two children, and she divides her time between Bentonville and Atlanta.
