The Association of Lawyers with Disabilities in Nigeria (ALDIN) has appointed a new set of executive council members that would run the affairs of the association.

The association at the weekend held a General Assembly with the aim of conducting the election and ratification of a new Management Board of the association.

Theophilus Odaudu-led Electoral Committee, which presided over the process of the election after weeks of preparations, and processes leading up to the election, conducted the business of the day in a free and fair manner to the admiration of all.

The newly elected Management Board of ALDIN are, Ikem U. Uchegbulam, as president; Salamatu Abdullahi as Vice president, Lukeman Abolarinwa Salami as general secretary, Blessing Chinonso Ujunwa as assistant general secretary, Rex Erameh, as director of legal services, Sani Moyi as treasurer, Violet Alli as financial secretary, Justice Christopher as director of media and publicity and Yusuf Iyodo as director of research and documentation.

Upon ratification of members of the body by the General Assembly, the Excos were promptly sworn in with the charge to hit the ground running.

The new President, Uchegbulam, in his inaugural speech thanked all members and particularly the out-gone excos led by Daniel Onwe and the members of the Electoral Committee for various and respective contributions to ALDIN.

He promised that the new excos would work hard to ensure that ALDIN is a force to reckon with and implore the support of all members.
