African Reinsurance Corp.’s gross written premium income grew by nearly 19% year-on-year to $806 million in the first nine months of this year, driven by higher underwriting pricing and new business written in the oil and energy line, Business News Nigeria reported. The reinsurer also posted an overall net profit of $75.4 million in the reported period, compared to a net loss of $11.1 million reported in the year-ago comparative period.
