Seacoast Property Watch earns accreditation from the National Home Watch Association
STRATHAM — Seacoast Property Watch has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org). Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence. All principals of NHWA Accredited Member companies are background-checked, insured, and bonded.

Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation donates $10,000 to COAST
NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (COAST). Funds will help support the Design & Permit Phase of constructing a new Operations, Maintenance and Administration Facility and to add an Indoor Bus Storage Facility in Dover, N.H. This capital project will replace COAST’s current facility and provide an efficient, modern, safe, and forward-thinking base of operations for the next 40 years of public transit serving the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
COAST is an innovative leader in providing a broad range of public transportation services, while connecting and coordinating a robust network of transportation options for everyone. Since 1982, COAST has provided over 16 million rides to people in the Greater Seacoast region, linking them to work, school, doctor appointments, shopping, and social events. When COAST is not otherwise available for trips riders need to take, they are forced to rely on friends or family for a ride, or take expensive alternatives. Trips not taken have consequences, such as lost jobs, poor health care and social isolation.
Davidson Rubber workers diagnosed with cancer secure cash benefits from multiple private trusts
DOVER – Plant workers employed before 1981 diagnosed with various cancers are entitled to special benefits. Lung cancer, esophageal cancer, laryngeal cancer, pharyngeal cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, and mesothelioma are frequently caused by asbestos exposure. Asbestos-laced products were used for decades at Davidson Rubber. Neither employees nor management were aware of the asbestos risk.
To compensate cancer victims and the families of deceased cancer victims, Federal Bankruptcy Courts have required asbestos manufacturers to set aside hundreds of millions of dollars in private trusts. Through these trusts, cancer victims can receive money damages by the filing of timely, detailed, and accurate claims.
Norris Injury Lawyers has announced a specific initiative to assist Davidson Rubber employees in recovering money set aside for them in these asbestos trusts. Cancer victims or the families of deceased victims who worked at the plant before 1981 may call 800-478-9578 for a free evaluation of their claim. Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation donates $5,000 to Gather
NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – The Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation has donated $5,000 to Gather. Funds will support Gather’s Mobile Markets that will operate at 11 mobile sites in 4-5 communities per week throughout the year. A mobile market bus was recently introduced to overcome the transportation barriers that many in the Seacoast communities face, making it easier to distribute food to the most vulnerable and often most challenging to reach. In total, the Mobile Market program will serve 5,000 individuals each month across the Greater Seacoast Region.
Gatherprovides nutritious food and prepared meals to those experiencing hunger on the Seacoast in N.H. and Maine. They do this through their pantry market and mobile markets. Gather collaborates with community partners to address the root causes of hunger throughout the area. They serve more than 7,000 Seacoast residents each month, distribute over 1.5 million pounds of food each year, and provide food to approximately 500 children each week when school is out. Ninety cents of every dollar donated to Gather goes directly for local hunger relief.
