ABERDEEN’S Christmas Market has been ranked in the top 5 across the entire UK.
Market research from cinch has ranked Broad Street’s village behind only Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Glasgow.
The rankings were based on various factors, including durations, TikTok views, hotel costs and snowfall.
Aberdeen’s 46-day market is the second longest in Scotland, only behind Glasgow, while cheaper hotels also contributed to the high ranking.
The Granite City ranks above the likes of Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland and the Belfast Christmas Market.
Cinch also took average snowfall in the area into consideration, with Aberdeen ranking particularly well in that category, averaging 2.5 days on snowfall every December.
This years Christmas Village opens tomorrow (November 16) and, for now, is being operated by Codona’s.
The delivery contract for the 2024 to 2026 market has been put up for tender, though the amusement park owners will be able to re-submit interest should they wish.
