Slalom has announced its appointment of Jane Dawon-Howe as Country Leader of Slalom Ireland, based at Slalom’s Dublin office. The newly launched hub in Ireland’s capital is the 45th addition to Slalom’s global footprint.
According to Jane Dawon-Howe, while Slalom is “relatively new to Europe,” the firm’s “modern, purpose-driven approach to consulting” feels like a natural fit for Ireland, to her. Founded in Seattle, in 2001, Slalom is a consultancy which supports businesses with everything from strategy to implementation – and now boasts a global team of 13,000 experts, as well as 400 innovative technology partners, including AWS, Salesforce, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Tableau.
Dawon-Howe, who will head up Slalom in Ireland, added, “As a proud Irishwoman, I am passionate about investing in people, in our community and in our clients’ success, both in our local market and beyond. I look forward to bringing our fiercely human approach and cutting-edge engineering capabilities to help our clients fuel growth and innovation in their businesses and to work with them to build better tomorrows for all.”
Ireland’s capital city has become a global innovation hub in recent years, something with Dawon-Howe is well acquainted with due to her previous roles with LinkedIn and Accenture. In an interview on Slalom’s website, she cited favourable corporate tax rates as one of the things attracting organisations, but also noted that Ireland was “appealing to USA-based organisations looking to expand their footprint in the EU”, with a “time zone overlap and a shared language” sweetening the deal. The thriving technology scene is also attracting a growing number of global consulting firms, which Slalom joins.
She brings 30 years of experience to Slalom, in and out of consulting. Dawon-Howe will now oversee the launch and growth of Slalom’s new Dublin team and office, while working to build relationships with clients across Ireland and Europe.
Commenting on the appointment, Slalom UK & Ireland President, Dave Williams, noted, “Slalom Ireland has a brilliant and considerate leader in Jane, and we can’t wait to see how she brings her consultancy and people skills to the business – she matches Slalom’s purpose-focus and people-first culture to a tee. Ireland is a huge opportunity for Slalom as an innovation hub of the EU with tons of investment in infrastructure and we look forward to mirroring the success of our other markets right here in Dublin.”
The launch of Slalom’s Dublin wing sees it expand to its ninth national market. The firm also has hubs in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, the UK, the Netherlands, New Zealand.
