The lifestyle bed and breakfast close to the new ‘Welsh Riviera’ beach

The chance to buy a “lifestyle” business next to North Wales’ newest sandy beach has come up. The Northwood Guest House in Rhos-on-Sea has been in the same hands for 20 years.

This has seen the site upgraded and earn a good reputation for quality accommodation. It has now come on the market as the owners look to retire – although they will continue to trade as normal until a deal is done.

While the site itself is well looked after it has the added bonus of being close to a seafront that is currently being transformed. A multi-million pound investment from Welsh Government and Conwy council – backed by EU funds – is giving a huge facelift to the prom and beach.

This includes one million tonnes of sand being added to the beach. It has seen the site get compared to the “French Riviera” as well as sparking calls for a similar investment in nearby Llandudno.

With a lot of tourism accommodation in Rhos and Colwyn Bay lost in recent years this could be an ideal investment to cash in on a facelift for the resort’s seafront.

The site is on the market with Christie and Co for £495,000.
