Season 5 of The Last Drive-In with legendary horror host Joe Bob Briggs highlights the Shudder April 2023 schedule.
The weekly double feature showcasing Briggs’ encyclopedic knowledge of each film has been a huge hit with horror fans since its debut in 2018. “Proving once again that ‘the drive-in will never die,’ iconic horror host and exploitation movie aficionado Joe Bob Briggs is back with a new season Fridays on Shudder TV and Sundays on demand. Every week, The Last Drive-In series offers an eclectic pairing of films, running the gamut from horror classics to obscurities and international cult favorites. And from time to time, special surprise guests will drop in on Joe Bob and Darcy the Mail Girl,” reads the show’s synopsis.

April 1
The Blood on Satan’s Claw (1971)
Set in a remote 17th-century village, a group of young people becomes possessed by a mysterious, claw-like object. Is it a part of Satan? The film explores themes of devil worship, possession, and the corruption of innocence. A classic in the horror genre, renowned for its effective use of suspense and timeless exploration of evil and corruption.
Witchfinder General (1968)

Slumber Party Massacre (1982)
This cult classic slasher, directed by Amy Holden Jones, centers on a group of high school girls who hold a slumber party at a house while a serial killer is on the loose in the neighborhood. However, his determination may lead to his downfall as he becomes another potential victim of The Widow’s brutal campaign. The series features a thrilling cat-and-mouse game between the detective and the killer, with plenty of suspense, gore, and twists to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Bog (1978)
“Could we have a Dracula running loose out there?” Nope, just an ultra-low-budget yet endearingly cheesy horror film. The movie depicts an underwater creature that emerges from the depths of the northern Wisconsin woods, craving human blood.
Kids vs Aliens (2022)
