The business and economics subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.
The ranking assesses universities by their performance in the following disciplines: business and management, accounting and finance, and economics and econometrics.
This year’s table includes 795 universities, up from 729 last year.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) climbs one place to join Stanford University at the top spot, while the University of California, Berkeley rises three places to sixth.
Outside the top 10, China’s Tsinghua University is 11th, up from 17th last year.
