Air Canada to extend seasonal Toronto-Edinburgh service – Business Traveller

Air Canada has announced plans to extend its seasonal Toronto-Edinburgh route into the winter.

The service will resume on June 2, and will operate “up to daily” until the end of the summer season on October 27 (last westbound flight on October 28).

From that point the route will move to three flights per week, with Wednesday, Friday and Sunday departures from Toronto, and Monday, Thursday and Sunday service from Edinburgh.

Flights will continue until the last westbound service on January 8, 2024, and Air Canada said that the route “is currently planned to return in early spring 2024”.

Flights will be operated by the carrier’s three-class Boeing 787 aircraft – full schedules can be seen in the table below.

The resumed Toronto-Edinburgh route will join Air Canada’s year-round flights from Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Halifax to London Heathrow, as well year-round services between Toronto and Dublin, and summer seasonal flights from Vancouver and Montreal to Dublin, and between Toronto and Manchester.

The airline also operates a seasonal fifth freedom route between Heathrow and Mumbai, as part of its Toronto-Heathrow-Mumbai service.
