North West is preparing to enter the business world after her mother Kim Kardashian filed four trademarks for her nine-year-old daughter, but some fans aren’t happy
Kim Kardashian is helping her daughter North West enter the business world as she filed four new trademarks for the nine-year-old, according to reports.
Kim’s eldest daughter looks set to launch her own business empire, including a skincare range and toy line, but some fans have urged Kim to let North “just be a kid”.
The first trademark for North is for a beauty brand which would contain products such as moisturisers, skin lotions, bubble bath and hair care products.
Kim also filed for a second trademark for North to start a toy business which includes doll accessories, action figures and bath toys.
The 42-year-old Kardashians star didn’t stop there as she filed a third trademark which focuses on the advertising sector.
The fourth trademark is aimed at entertainment services.
According to The Sun, it includes “entertainment in the nature of providing information in means of a global computer network in the fields of entertainment and pop culture”.
After hearing the news, Kardashian fans quickly took to Reddit to slam Kim for her business decisions.
“This is so disgusting. The poor kid is 9,” one person wrote, with another agreeing: “Let her be a kid for gods sake.”
A third person commented: “Kim is literally kris 2.0 and that’s not a compliment.”
“Is this real? Imo this is seriously not okay what is Kim thinking. No child should have a business let alone a millionaire child,” another fan said.
However, others defended Kim’s decision and insisted she is working to help North when she gets older.
“I’m guessing these trade marks are for when she’s older? there’s no way she’s starting a skin care line at her age lol,” one fan pointed out.
Another said: “All of them [the Kardashians] have trademarked their kids names for similar things. It’s not for now, it’s most likely for when they’re older so their names aren’t taken.
“Since their names are universally known due to them being “Kardashian kids” they probably don’t want others to capitalize off their kids names when the kids themselves will likely want to use them for ventures when they’re older.”
