Additional Information: Firefighters responded to a 911 call from a passerby advising he witnessed a male set fire to a commercial shed behind an abandoned Checkers restaurant located at 102 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD, on the evening of February 25, 2023. When the fire department arrived, they observed an unknown male suspect adding items to the fire before fleeing on foot. The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire with their crew. On-duty Fire Investigators responded and did a canvass of the area with the assistance of Police.

 

Anne Arundel County Fire Investigators located the suspect in the area less than one hour after the 911 call, and witnesses positively identified the suspect to be the male they saw adding debris to the fire. Fire Investigators arrested and charged the suspect with Arson and Malicious Burning later that evening, early morning of February 26, 2023.

DOB: 12/09/1983

 

UPDATE: On March 20, 2023, a Grand Jury indicted Mr. Wagner on the following charges:

2nd Degree Arson

Malicious Burning 2nd Degree

Reckless Endangerment
