The council runs Invest Newark and Sherwood, which provides invaluable support, advice and help to encourage businesses to maximise the opportunities available to them.

By acting as a one-stop solution for businesses, we remove the need for a business to contact many agencies.

We can offer lots of help, including signposting businesses to sources of support for those looking to expand or relocate to the area, providing free land and property search options for business premises and offering bespoke information on the local economy and pockets of growth.

In addition, we have access to Grant Finder, Europe’s most advanced grants and policy database. We can help identify funding opportunities and business support schemes appropriate for your business, which operates across public, private and voluntary sectors.

Grant Finder requires a paid-for subscription to access, so if you would like a member of our team to perform a search on your behalf, completely free of charge to you, please email economic.growth@new ark-sherwooddc.gov.uk.

We also host a broad programme of events for businesses to hear and speak to leading experts in their fields.

Recent topics discussed have included how to move to a greener approach to business, the logistics of supply chain demand and insight into what the future holds for the economy both locally and nationally.
