Manchester-based digital marketing agency Embryo has appointed two senior hires, marking a change in company structure.

Andrew Holland joins the agency as its new Head of Organic while Peter Wootton has been appointed as the agency’s Head of Tech.

Embryo’s Chief Innovation Director James Welch said the duo are “in the top 5% of SEO experts in the country” as the company has announced its content and SEO departments are being readjusted to become two new organic and technical teams.

Led by Holland and Wootton, the new teams will work together to ensure that technical SEO work complements content-driven optimisation.

Andrew Holland said: “Joining the Embryo team is one of the proudest moments of my life. Ross Green and James Welch are building what I consider to be the Marvel Universe of the digital marketing world.”

Chief Innovation Director at Embryo, James Welch, added: “To be able to bring in both Peter and Andrew at the same time is a major coup for Embryo, I feel.

“They’re in the top 5% of SEO experts in the country. Adding these to our already very strong SEO offering is something that will help us with the next stage of our growth, working with an ever-increasing client base.”
