BANGKOK — Hill & Knowlton has named Kanpirom Ungpakorn the firm’s business strategy lead for Asia with an eye on growing its regional presence.
Ungpakorn (pictured, left) will be responsible for overseeing growth across Asia as well as charting the agency’s regional direction.
Ungpakorn has spent most of her three-decade career with H&K. She served as the firm’s Thailand managing director for the last 23 years, during which she has led multinationals in shaping communications, public affairs and sustainability strategies. She also supported clients on reputation management and navigating stakeholder issues in Thailand and across the rest of Asia.
Meantime, Wachiraporn Pornpitayalert (pictured, right) will succeed Ungpakorn in the Thailand managing director role. Pornpitayalert is a 14-year veteran of H&K. She most recently served as the Bangkok office’s deputy managing director and creative strategist before that.
Both Ungpakorn and Pornpitayalert will be part of H&K’s Asia leadership council.
“I am delighted to welcome Kanpirom and Wachiraporn into these important leadership roles within Hill & Knowlton,” said HS Chung, president of Hill & Knowlton Asia. “Their extensive combination of agency experience and deep market knowledge make them invaluable assets that will be instrumental to our growth in Thailand and across Asia as our client’s trusted partner for sustainable value creation.”
