Singapore Airlines is to roll out free unlimited inflight wifi for all business class passengers, as well as allowing more complimentary internet access for members of its PPS Club and KrisFlyer loyalty programmes.
Under the changes, PPS Club members and supplementary card holders will also have access to unlimited wifi. KrisFlyer members will receive three hours of free wifi when travelling in premium economy and two hours in economy.
Previously, business class customers and PPS Club members received 100mb worth of free inflight wifi, while KrisFlyer members travelling in premium economy and economy benefited from a two-hour complimentary wifi plan. Free unlimited wifi was already available for those travelling in the airline’s suites and first class cabins.
For travellers who do not qualify for free wifi or have used up their allowance, Singapore Airlines has also announced a new pricing structure, with one hour’s access costing US$3.99, three hours for US$8.99 or the entire flight for US$15.99.
