Ryanair and SAP Concur agree distribution deal

Ryanair and SAP Concur have entered an agreement that will see the low-cost carrier’s fares distributed via the Concur Travel online booking tool.

The direct connect deal, which will also see a dedicated Concur TripLink booking flow built into the carrier’s website and app, will give corporates access to Ryanair’s fares and ancillary products.

Ryanair content will be made available globally via both Concur Travel and Concur Triplink within the next 12 months.

Corporate travellers who book Ryanair flights via the Concur Travel online tool will also “benefit from significant efficiencies”, including automated expense management and booking details being fed into SAP Concur solutions, according to the companies.

The agreement will also allow registered users to bypass the carrier’s controversial online booking verification process, which requires facial recognition.

The airline rekindled its relationship with global distribution system Amadeus earlier this year in another move that signaled its intent to win more corporate business.

SAP Concur regional VP supplier services EMEA Paul Dear said: “We are happy to be working directly with Ryanair on these initiatives to deliver increased value to our corporate travel and expense customers… These agreements show the Ryanair commitment to business travellers and corporate travel managers. We look forward to a long and successful relationship that delivers real value to the corporate travel community.”

Ryanair’s director of marketing and digital Dara Brady added that the carrier is looking forward to “working further with SAP Concur over the coming years”.
