PTT Exploration and Production was the most-decorated company at this year’s IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia 2023, which returned as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.
Meanwhile, a trio of Thai companies scooped the three grand prizes for best overall IR at the awards ceremony, which was held in Singapore on December 5.
Convenience store operator CP All took home the trophy for best overall investor relations (large cap), while retailer Dohome won best overall IR (small cap.) Central Retail Corp took the gongs for both best overall investor relations (mid-cap) and best investor relations officer (mid-cap) for head of IR Rangsirach Pornsutee.
There was also recognition for Bangkok Dusit Medical Services’ assistant director of investor relations Jitima Ratanatam, who scooped best investor relations officer (large cap), and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation’s investor relations manager Angelica Castillo, who won the best investor relations officer (small cap) award.
PTT Exploration and Production was the biggest winner on the day, taking home trophies for best investor event and best use of multimedia for IR, while the company’s investor relations officer Lalida Termsantikul was named 2023’s rising star.
Elsewhere, fellow Thai company PTT won the gongs for best annual report (large cap) and best crisis management, while Cromwell European REIT won best annual report (small cap) and best ESG reporting (small cap).

The IR Magazine Awards – South East Asia 2023 were divided into two sections. The awards-by-research categories were decided by a survey of hundreds of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts covering companies across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Prizes included best overall IR and best IR officer.
The awards-by-nomination categories saw companies in the region send in entries explaining their work in key areas of IR practice, such as ESG reporting, digital communications and investor events. Here, the winners were decided by a panel of judges. For the 2023 awards, the panel of judges featured:
– Eksit Kuna, Thai equity analyst, Kiatnakin Phatra Securities
– Joshua Lee, portfolio manager, Lombard Odier
– Professor Roy Ling, independent board director at various listed companies
– Vijay Natarajan, real estate and REITs analyst, RHB Bank Singapore
– Jeannie Ong, founding board member and IR adviser, AetriaHealth.
