A reporter for Hong Kong’s largest English-language newspaper has been unreachable since traveling to Beijing last month to cover a defense forum, Kyodo News reported on Wednesday.

Minnie Chan, a Chinese national who covered defense and diplomacy for the South China Morning Post, hasn’t returned to Hong Kong since attending the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, the news agency said Thursday, citing unidentified sources.
