Volocopter, the German aircraft manufacturer pioneering air taxis, has put its much-anticipated air taxi launch in Singapore on hold indefinitely, reported the Straits Times.
The eagerly anticipated initiative has been paused due to challenges in securing local partners willing to share the financial responsibility for the cutting-edge technology involved.
Volocopter, at the front and center in the field of flying taxis, conveyed to The Straits Times:
“We are therefore revising our Singapore launch strategy and timeline. We will continue to look for local cost-sharing partners, and Singapore remains our Asia-Pacific headquarters. Once the partners have been found, we will reconsider the launch timeline in Singapore.”
