KUALA LUMPUR — The biggest overseas project of debt-laden Chinese property developer Country Garden Holdings has caught the eye of film and TV production companies.
At $100 billion, the Forest City mixed-use development in Malaysia’s southern state of Johor aims to house 700,000 people by 2035, with office space, malls, clinics, schools and leisure facilities built across four reclaimed islands covering a total of 30 square kilometers.
