Irish hotel group The Address Collective is to set open a property in Glasgow city centre – the company’s first location outside its home market of Ireland.
The Address Glasgow on Renfield Street will be the fifth Address Collective property when it opens in early 2024.
The company is spending £9 million to convert a historic listed building into a 95-room hotel, which will also include a restaurant and cocktail bar, plus a spa with a gym and plunge pool.
Brian McGettigan, from The Address Collective, said: “We’re creating over 80 jobs and investing in the local community because we believe in the bright future of this dynamic city. We’ve chosen Glasgow because we love the people, the culture and can’t wait to raise the bar for luxury stays in Scotland.”
The company already operates properties in the Irish cities of Dublin and Cork, with another hotel in Sligo also due to open next spring.
