In a commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on their sustainability journey, Vodafone has announced the launch of its new Vodafone Business V-Hub series titled “Sustainable Business Growth for SMEs”.
The new series aims to provide SMEs with actionable tips and insights to help them implement best practice sustainability processes into their own business.
The “Sustainable Business Growth for SMEs” series will serve as a valuable resource for SMEs seeking to enhance their environmental impact while ensuring long-term success. Vodafone Business brings together experts, thought leaders, and SMEs in a shared mission to create a digital society that includes everyone and protects the planet.
SMEs will benefit from a diverse range of content, including articles, webinars, and interactive events featuring contributions from leaders in environmental conservation and sustainability practices such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and The Carbon Trust.
Vodafone reduces operational carbon emissions by 92% in three years
Vodafone UK has released its annual Carbon Reduction Plan for its UK operations, with the report highlighting a successful period with the company vastly reducing its impact on the environment.
SMEs represent about 99% of businesses and more than 61% of employment in the UK*. For small businesses, being sustainable isn’t just a nice to have anymore, it’s one of the key factors for clients and customers when considering who to do business with.
However, it is clear with such high stakes involved, there is still a degree of work needed to help SMEs confidently implement viable sustainability practices. A survey of more than 2,000 UK-based SMEs found that most were feeling pressure to improve their sustainability credentials, but one-third (33.33 %) believed it would be too expensive for them to consider taking any action this year**.
