Stephen O’Bryan, a senior aerospace and defense industry executive, will assume the role of corporate vice president and global business development officer at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) on Feb. 6.
He has been elected by Northrop’s board of directors to succeed David Perry, who is set to retire by the end of March after a 24-year career with the Falls Church, Virginia-based aerospace and defense contractor, Northrop said Monday.
O’Bryan will directly report to Kathy Warden, chair, CEO and president of Northrop, as he oversees the business development organization and implements the company’s international growth strategy.
“Steve is a highly respected business leader, and with his experience and expertise, he’ll help further position and grow our business in key markets around the world,” said Warden, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s 2023 Wash100.
Prior to Northrop, O’Bryan was with Boston Consulting Group. He also held senior leadership roles in corporate strategy and business development at L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
O’Bryan, a Top Gun graduate, served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot of the F/A-18 fighter aircraft.
