Some people have the wrong attitude to dream and so forget their dream because they do not want to hear God speak to them. It is amazing how quickly we forget what God has shown us within few minutes or days, but cannot forget pictures from the devil. The enemy can make your dreams blurred and make you not give it a serious attention until it happens; then would you say, “oh, I remember I saw it in a dream.” Be careful!
How Do I Remember My Dreams?
• Recognise that God speaks to us in dreams.
• Give your dream attention.
• Meditate upon what He says to you in your dream, don’t jump out of bed.
• Search your spirit and always study God’s word to be in tune with God’s spirit.
Blankness
This is a situation where you wake up and wonder if you had a dream or not. You are sure you did, but could not trace or remember anything about it; you are blank. You feel or are sure you dreamt, but you cannot remember anything. This is evil.
“And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim nor by prophets,”1Samuel 28:6.
Dreams can give you an advantage over others, but when it is blank the enemy is hiding something from you. You need to pray.
Reverse or Opposite Meanings
This is when your dream is showing you a direct opposite of who you are or what you should do or wish to do in the physical. Some people dream that they went to the embassy and were given visa to travel to the country of their choice. This means they have been refused a visa. Some people’s lives are always opposite of what they see in dream. This can be corrected because it ought not to be so.
“It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against Mount Zion,” Isaiah 29:8.
When you dream you got a job on the night of a job interview, then you go for the interview and did not get it. The devil uses this to manipulate people into giving them their desires in dream and then it remains only in a dream that they will get it. Nobody walks backward; your dream should not be in the opposite.
Complicated And Scattered Dreams
This is when you dream and cannot figure it out. It is just scattered and before you could complete one process to make meaning, another thing or picture entirely comes in. This is an attack; you need to pray now.
Fighting Dreams or Nightmares
This is when you always struggle or fight in dreams. Such dreams always take you to battlefield where you sometimes see yourself shot at and or even dead as well. These are channels that witches use to confuse your life and make you a looser in the battles of life. As I stated earlier, the spiritual controls the physical; so when the devil succeeds in making you lose in the spirit realm, he knows his job has become simpler.
I saw a dream, which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me,” Daniel 4:5.
Playful or Unserious Dreams
This can come in form of moving about going nowhere in particular. All your dreams are never finished; it stops where it will not really make much meaning. You always see yourself doing things you could not imagine doing in real life.
“For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words,” Ecclesiastes 5:3.
