A business has achieved an important step and received accreditation from a respected organisation.

The Ten Percent Club which is owned by businessman Luke O’Reilley and professional hockey player Shona McCallin has achieved the approval of Informed Sport.

The business specialises in nootropics which are blends of mushrooms that they say help the body and mind work together in a natural, safe way — backed by science.

“Informed Sport is a global testing and certification programme for sports and nutritional supplements,” said Luke O’Reilley.

“No professional athlete or military personnel are allowed to take any supplements, whether that be protein shakes, vitamins, or any wellness product, without it being authenticated by Informed Sport.

“The Ten Percent Club products have been through months of rigorous testing by this world-class anti-doping laboratory for contamination against a broad range of banned substances in sport.

“We are pleased to say that in October was accredited with approval by them.

“When you see the Informed-Sport quality mark on a product, you can be assured that it has passed the most stringent sports supplement testing and puts the product on a pedestal above all others.

“We are now the only dedicated nootropics brand to be informed sport accredited.

“With Shona being a partner in the business, it was paramount that we got to this level of recognition.

“She is only too aware herself just how important it is for athletes to feel confident and safe in the supplements they use.

“There is too much risk for athletes nowadays to take supplementation that doesn’t have this stamp of authority from informed sport.”

Luke said that the accreditation process had been a major goal for the company to achieve.

“When we mapped out our business plan back in January, Informed sport accreditation was at the very top of our list,” he said.

“It has taken slightly longer than expected but it goes to show just how detailed and stringent the methods are to ensure the product is safe.

“Our brand is now on the same level as world-recognised brands like applied nutrition, my protein, bulk powders and so many more.

“To show the level of recognition this has already given the brand, I can say that we already have an England international footballer subscribed. “Nottingham Forest is also currently running trials on our unwind and sleep supplement in a quest to improve the first team’s squad’s recovery from their premier league campaign.

“It just takes the brand to the next level in sports supplementation”
