Looking northeast, Stone Way is fast becoming a corridor of midrise apartments.

Building by building, block by block, Stone Way’s old industrial and mercantile past is disappearing. Cranes are swinging from the north shore of Lake Union up to 45th, with the upzoned Stone Way — traditionally the boundary between Wallingford and Fremont — sprouting with new midrise apartment buildings and the occasional office project.
