Kelly Ocampo is the new executive director at HOPE for Bereaved.

Ocampo has almost 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with a focus on program development and grant writing.

She replaces longtime director and founder Terese Schoeneck who retired after 45 years.

HOPE for Bereaved is an independent nonprofit community organization founded in 1978. It is dedicated to helping grieving children, teens and adults by providing its services, which include support groups, a monthly newsletter, and counseling, at no charge. Its purpose is to offer support, understanding, coping strategies, friendship and hope to those who are struggling after the death of a loved one. They also offer education, consultation and resources for families, friends, employers, school/daycare staff, co-workers and invested professionals.
