Tenant farmers – have environmental schemes or markets affected your tenancy?

[ad_1]

The NFU has been made aware by some tenant farming members that there may be some landlords who are considering taking back tenanted land to use for their own environmental projects or contract farming arrangements ended. This could be either by serving notice to quit on a tenant or by not renewing a tenancy which might have ordinarily been renewed.

The NFU would like to gather a more informed idea of any changes that may be occurring in the tenanted sector and on what scale. We would particularly like to hear from tenant farming members in England who are in this situation and invite them to respond to our survey below.

This will help us in our policy asks and decision making when communicating with Defra about making future scheme design better for farmers.
